Guidance
Navigating the cremation process can be overwhelming. We are here to provide clear, compassionate answers to your most frequent questions, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
What is direct cremation?
Direct cremation is a simple and dignified alternative to traditional services. The cremation occurs shortly after the passing without a viewing, allowing families to focus on a memorial at a later time.
Are there hidden costs?
No. Transparency is a cornerstone of our service. All pricing at Omega is all-inclusive, covering transport within Brevard County, the cremation process, and documentation with no hidden fees. We do not advertise one price for cremation and add on unreasonable fees.
Can we still hold a memorial service?
Absolutely. Many families choose direct cremation to allow themselves the flexibility to plan a unique celebration of life or ash scattering ceremony exactly when and where they wish. Please let us know if you have already planned the service.
What documentation is required?
Our team will ask you for information regarding the death certificate. A two-page authorization for cremation that informs you on the cremation process and authorizes cremation. This needs to be signed by the next-of-kin. We handle the filing for the death certificate and obtaining necessary permits from the medical examiner's office.
